I am an experienced secondary school English teacher, literacy lead, student success lead and guidance counsellor.
Since 2000, I have taught Grades 9 – 12 English students in Toronto, including ten years as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme Higher Level Language and Literature teacher.
Between 2004 - 2011, I took on the role of Program Leader in Literacy at my school. I led the administration, and moderated marking, data analysis, and program planning for all Grades 9 – 12 literacy initiatives, and supported elementary and secondary schools in creating curriculum strategy and alignment.
Between 2011 - 2020, I was the Student Success Lead; I supported students at risk, co-led the School Improvement Team and facilitated professional development for elementary and secondary educators. Currently, I am a secondary school guidance counsellor.
I am registered with the Ontario College of Teachers (Lisa Loughlin - 438193)
