I believe that all students can learn better and achieve higher levels of success - their life trajectory depends on it.
I am a secondary school English teacher, literacy lead, student success lead and guidance counsellor in Toronto, Canada. I am a certified teacher in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers - 438193.
Since 2000, I have taught Grades 9 – 12 English students in Toronto, including ten years as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme Higher Level Language and Literature teacher.
Between 2004 - 2011, I took on the role of Program Leader in Literacy. I led the administration, and moderated marking, data analysis, and program planning for all Grades 9 – 12 literacy initiatives.
Between 2011 - 2020, I was the Student Success Lead; I supported students at risk, co-led the School Improvement Team and facilitated professional development for educators. I am a secondary school guidance counsellor and mentor for undergraduate and graduate students in various institutions and organizations.
My greatest teachers are my young children, Henry and Catherine..
